These are relatively short tales I’ve written for the enjoyment of family and friends. One collection follows the challenges and triumphs of a group of children, all members of the same third-grade class in an imaginary (sort of) Portland elementary school.
The other set finds some of my colleagues stranded by an avalanche on Mount Hood. With access to electricity and cell transmission lost, they resort to telling tales to one another to pass the time. If the stories sound familiar as you read them, then you’ve probably read Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales.
